Day 1:WELCOME AND EXCURSION IN CUSCO
Cusco City Tour:Koricancha + 4 Ruinas
We will be waiting for you at the airport in Cusco on the day of your arrival, we will take you to the hotel to rest, have a cup of coca tea and pick you up from your hotel in the afternoon (from 1:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.) to start with the tour of Cusco and surroundings.
- Visit the temple of Qorikancha, temple dedicated to the sun of perfect stone buildings.
- Walk through the Fortress of Sacsayhuaman, scene of the Inti Raymi.
- Lose yourself in the underground passages of Qenqo and cool off with the source of Tambomachay, where the water has been flowing for more than 500 years.
The Koricancha Palace and Convent of Santo Domingo
Sacsayhuaman: Located 3 km from the city of Cusco, impressive monumental stone fortress and magnificent architecture, famous for its huge carved stones, some of which are 9 m / 30 feet and weigh 350 tons. This is where the Inty Raymi or Fiesta del Sol in June take place.
Qenqo: Ceremonial and ritual center, amphitheater where sacrifices were made.
Puca-Pucara: An old tambo (place of rest), monitoring place along the routes of the Inka Empire.
Tambomachay: 7 Km. From the city of Cusco, ceremonial center of water worship, traditionally known as the place of water. Excursion time: around 5 hours.
Day 2:SACRED VALLEY
Sacred Valley of the Incas FullDay
On this day, visit the Sacred Valley that starts at 8:00 in the morning, picked up from the hotel to go to Pisac, which is a typical market, with picturesque terraced fields on the mountain.
Visit the archaeological site of Pisac.
It is also famous for its fairs where you can buy beautiful crafts.
Then we went to Urubamba where we included a buffet lunch. Then we went to the fortress of Ollantaytambo, where the descendants of the Incas live in the house of the Incas.
Finally we went to the Ollantaytambo train station to board the train that departs at 4:36 PM. hours to Aguas Calientes, arriving at 18:00 hrs. Averaging Overnight at the hotel in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu). (Photo: Sacred Valley of the Incas).
Pisaq Ruins: was eleven the site of a vital Inca road which wound its way through the Sacred Valley to the borders of the eastern jungle.
Pisaq - Market: is one of the most famous markets in the Cusco region, drawing many visitors to its famous Sunday market when indigenous Quechua communities from the surrounding highlands come to Pisac to sell their produce and stock up on supplies for the week.
Ollantaytambo: The Ollantaytambo ruins are one of the last strongholds of the Incas and one of the very few sites were the Incas held back the invading Spanish.
Day 3:MACHU PICCHU
VISIT TO MACHU-PICCHU
After getting up very early and having breakfast, climb the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu and see the spectacular sunrise of this wonder. After the excursions with our guide to the citadel of Machu Picchu, visiting the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Sun, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and several cemeteries for more than two hours.
Optional: you can take the hike to the summit of Huayna Picchu or Sector Mountain (This tour is without a guide). Then, you will be given free time to walk around the citadel. They will have all the morning to Machu Picchu to take photos and be in this mystical place. Then, we descend by bus to Aguas Calientes in the afternoon, we take the train back to Ollantaytambo, where our staff will be waiting for you to transfer it by bus to Cusco.
Day 4: Farewell
